This course will helped me develop a foundational understanding of innovation in the schools. I explored historical, sociological, and philosophical contexts and frameworks. I reflected on case studies and dove deeper in innovation in the lower elementary classroom.

What Does a 21 Century Look Like in a Elementary Classroom?
There has been a lot of research about what is the 21 century learner and even more how how does this change our teaching practices. It has been defined as "a set certain core competencies such as collaboration, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving that advocates believe schools need to teach to help students thrive in today's world" (GDC Team, 2014).However, like innovation and creativity it is hard to define. My focus is what does the 21st century learner look like in a elementary classroom?
